Tomorrow it’s back to looking at my startup schedule and thinking about my next step. Today I’m going to continue to reflect on how far I’ve come and enjoy the feeling of finally finishing my website. So I spent the majority of my time working on it, making sure that it was my best work, and all the while keeping in mind my potential customers. The only way RightHandMan would ever work or be a business is by having a website that was functional and clearly demonstrated to customers what it was about. So today, I look back and I reflect on all that has happened and I am so proud. I channeled the entrepreneur in me that I didn’t know I had and made it work. Sure there were days where I didn’t want to work on it, or didn’t think I would ever finish, but I did. And now, as I find little things that I need to quickly edit or move, I’m even more appreciative of sticking with this business and seeing the end result. I had to completely delete and redo the most important aspect of my website because it just wasn’t working and I didn’t think it represented what I wanted it to in the best manner. It was a few blog posts ago where I shared with you all what I was struggling with. As I visit my website and see if there is anything that needs to be changed or improved upon, I occasionally think back to all the challenges I have faced to get to the place I’m at now. Today is much like a day of reflection for me. I cannot believe that the day has finally come where I can type in my URL and MY website with MY business comes up. But to me, it’s time to party because I’ve reached a new milestone in the adventure of RightHandMan. Today is the day that I can officially call myself a business owner. Hi, my name is Stacy and I have my own business. This process has been like something I have never experienced before and much of that is due to the adventure I’ve called RightHandMan. I have enjoyed it am and grateful for all that it has taught me. So what I’ve decided is that if I had the choice to do this class all over again, I would 100% choose the same idea.

Yes, the other ideas would have been different, maybe less of a challenge, maybe even easier, but I cannot say that one of them would have been better. But when I look at where I am and how far I’ve come, I can confidently say that I chose right. I think about what challenges I would have faced, if I would have enjoyed one more than the one I am doing, and if one of them would have been the better choice. When I think of the other ideas, I can imagine all the very different roads they would have led me down. Coming up with this idea was the first moment that I felt like an entrepreneur and that I could launch my own business. What the idea ultimately taught me was belief in myself as an entrepreneur. But as excited as I was about it, I knew that it wasn’t feasible for this situation and under this timeframe. And perhaps for a while, I even thought that that was the idea I would choose to turn into a business. The “Find My School Bus” app was certainly the one idea that I felt the most proud of. And I remember that when it came time to pick which one I wanted to move forward with, it was a lot harder then I thought it would be. When I look back at the list of ideas, every single one of them still interests me. What about those ideas? Did I make the right choice? Could one of them have been the better option? So to write this assignment, I really stopped and thought about it for a minute. It was like the day I chose to move forward with RightHandMan, I did and never looked back. I have been so engaged and wrapped up in the idea that I chose that I haven’t stopped to think about the other choices that I once was considering. The first question, and the one that really got me thinking, asked that if we had the chance to do the class over again, would we choose the same project or a different one? Also, what about our other options would have been better?Īnswering this question was kind of like a moment of truth for me. As one of our class assignments, we had to write an assessment report which addressed two questions.
